- Rim height: ~7.1 in — provides neck support and a raised edge your dog can rest its head on.
- How to decide if this bed fits your dog:
- Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail while your dog is in its usual sleeping position (curled or stretched).
- If your dog sleeps curled (most small breeds), its curled length should be less than the bed's smaller side (20.9 in) for a comfortable fit.
- If your dog sleeps stretched out, add 6–8 in to the dog's full length and compare to the bed's length (24.8 in); choose a bed where the adjusted length is less than the bed length.
- To check head/neck comfort, measure shoulder height from floor to top of shoulders — if under ~7 in, the rim will provide good head support.
- Quick example: a 20–30 lb dog that curls to sleep will generally fit comfortably; a dog that frequently stretches out should consider a larger bed.
