- How to check it will fit your dog: 1) Put your dog in its harness and attach the seat belt to the harness D‑ring. 2) With your dog in the car, adjust the belt so there is about 2–4 in of slack when the dog is sitting comfortably. 3) Make sure the dog cannot reach the front seats or jump into the passenger area when the belt is set.
- Suggested settings: Short setting (closer to 16 in) for small dogs or when you want to restrict forward movement; longer setting (toward 26 in) for medium dogs or when allowing the dog to lie down.
