• Seatbelt clip tab (important measurement): 0.83 in width — this is the metal/plastic tab that inserts into your vehicle buckle. Make sure your car's buckle slot accepts a 0.83 in tab before purchasing.
• Recommended fit (practical guidance): Designed for cats and small-to-medium dogs. Based on the product design and images, we recommend for dogs up to about ~50 lbs (examples: French Bulldog, Beagle, Cocker Spaniel). For very large or strong dogs, consider a heavy-duty tether rated for higher loads.
• How to check this will fit your dog and car:
  1. Measure your vehicle buckle opening: measure the width of the metal/pocket where a seatbelt tab inserts — it must be at least 0.83 in wide to accept the clip tab.
  2. Measure your dog’s chest girth: wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of the chest (behind the front legs). Note this number to confirm your harness size fits your dog.
  3. If using a harness, attach the tether to the harness D‑ring and adjust the strap so your pet can sit or lie down comfortably but cannot reach the front seats.
